Ariel 1946-50 Front #30-1
/Ariel motorcycle front D section mudguards from the 1940's had subtle changes through the model years. This sample was taken from a 1949 plunger 500cc OHV model. The finished width is 130mm. This guard is finished with a the Ariel pattern rib, number-plate mount pressings, fork and stand mount pressings, stand mount reinforcing plate and a rolled and folded nose. There is then a difficult hand shaping of the rib into the nose lip. See links below for other year models and rear guards. Many others available not yet pictured. Note: The shaping of the moustache-like nose end is done by hand and will vary from one sample to another.
